Email migration procedure and informations
From International School of Bologna
- Migration procedures will begin on 10 July and will last for about 10 days.
- During these 10 days you will not be able to use the mail service (Outlook Web App) https://mail.isbologna.com.
- Your email address will always remain the same like nsurname@isbologna.com but Outlook Web App at https://mail.isbologna.com will no longer be used for mail services.
- To log in to your email box after migration you will need to connect to https://mail.google.com insert your nsurname@isbologna.com account and provide the standard password that you will receive in yourold isbologna account, alternative email account or by text message in your telephone number provided during the sending of the google form in the tech info mail and change the password at the first login.
*If you have not already completed the form for sending your alternative mail or telephone number (optional) and other useful informations you can do this now by using this link to Google form or send and email to techsupport@isbologna.com putting in copy techsupport@isbstudents.com.
- You will be notified in your personal email or by text message when the migration procedure will completed, you will receive all the information needed for use your new account.
- After that the set up of the Google Suite Service will be completed , you will receive information about this and about the use of the platform.
Migration steps
- Put down the mail server on 10 July (MICROSOFT EXCHANGE MAILSERVER) https://mail.isbologna.com, Outlook Web App will no longer be used for mail services.
- Backup all you email history.
- Recreate the mail address pool on the Google server (Google Suite Server).
- Restore the mail history in your @isbologna acount on the Google Suite server.
- Setting up Google suite Educational enviorment
- Mass email submission in provided alternative email address or as a text message in you telephone number for inform you about the step to follow for activate your new google suite account that it will the same form of the old Outlook account like nsurname@isbologna.com but will be inside the google server for utilize the google suite services (including email).
- After this steps your Google Suite Account will be active and you can utilize the google Suite Services Email, Google Drive Classroom etc. You will receive information about this and about the use of the platform after that the migrtion will be completed.
